The already well-appointed interior of the i30 is enhanced with a stylish i30 N-Line gear lever, which features sporty metal accents, a red racing line and leather inserts for better grip and a more urgent motorsport feeling.
Sensing the road ahead with radar and a camera, FCA warns you and then automatically activates the brakes when it detects sudden braking by a car ahead. The system also detects pedestrians and cyclists.
LKA provides steering intervention to assist the i30 to stay in the centre of its lane. If the i30 strays from its intended lane without any indicators being activated, an audible and visual warning will be sounded.
This system utilises the front radar sensor to detect the speed and distance of vehicles travelling ahead in the same direction and lane. It then automatically maintains a safe distance from that vehicle, up to a speed pre-set by you (between 30km/h – 180km/h).
Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go is not available on manual variants.
At speeds of 64km/h and above, Driver Attention warning (DAW)uses the windshield-mounted camera to continually montor the i30’s podition in a lane, while also tracking steering, brake pedal use, and time since your last break. When a pattern of fatigue or distraction is identified, the system gets your attention with an alert plus a pop-up message suggesting you take a rest stop.
FCW utilises the front radar sensor and windshield-mounted camera to detect vehicles and pedestrians in front of the i30. If a potential collision is detected, the FCW system will sound an audible warning chime and display a visual warning in the supervision cluster.
Remembering to turn high beam on and off at night can be easily overlooked. Available as part of the LED headlamp option, the High Beam Assist system recognises oncoming vehicles at night and automatically switches between high and low beam, so you’re always emitting the right light, every time.
